Glass Tapestry Pattern Plates and Trays

The technique used to achieve the tapestry effect, requires meticulous assembly of mufti colored, delicate 1mm wide glass strings, into a desired pattern and fusing them onto a sheet of clear glass. Next the fused stringer sheet has to be precisely cut to a specified width in exact angles. The cut strips are reassembled and the fabric-like assembly is then put yet again into the kiln to be fused together into one cohesive sheet, then slumped into a mold in one last firing.
